World Coins is our phrase to denote coins made for governments other than the United States of America. It is also the department where you have the greatest ability to form just what you wish to constitute "your" collection. You may choose to collect the coins of where your family roots are, a country you visited or always hoped to visit. You may wish to collect the coins that circulated in North America before there was a United States. You may want to try to form a collection of one of each ruler of a country or a coin of each country that ever existed. The only limitation is your imagination. You will not only find individual coins here but Mint Sets and Proof Sets as well. Take your time looking around, have a cup of coffee and enjoy. This department was built "just for you."
We highly recommend that World Coin collectors invest in one (or several) of the "Century Editions" of "The Standard Catalog of World Coins" by Chester Krause and Clifford Mishler. Once you have gone deep enough into any one subject or specialty, you may want additional works for that interest. But the "SCWC" is still the best place to start for anyone.

Here we offer coins from around the world that could have circulated in Colonial America as well as issues made just for (and in) Colonial North America. This is where we can best combine history and numismatics. This is the section that proves our saying that "coins are history you can hold in your hands." Shipwreck coins and Spanish Colonial issues sought by pirates and merchants alike. Coppers issued by Vermont and New Jersey. Many an interesting bit of metal.
With these coins we also make a special offer. For those of you interested as much in the history as the coin, contact us. We can provide you with a little written history matched to each individual coin you purchase and will do so on request. In addition, if you wish to select a coin for use as a tool in education or reenacting, we can help you there as well. We have a historian on staff who works with schools and historic sites to help make "history come alive" for the average person. WE GUARANTEE EVERYTHING HERE TO BE THE ORIGINAL ITEM AS DESCRIBED and can provide that in writing as well on request.
We highly recommend that Colonial Era collectors invest in one (or several) of the "Century Editions" of "The Standard Catalog of World Coins" by Chester Krause and Clifford Mishler.
