k1796.SBVFAbustquarter

Bust and Seated Quarters

1796 Draped Bust Quarter, Grade= VF PCGS slab genuine. Was in a SEGS holder as pictured. Now in a PCGS genuine holder marked with the 98 code which stands for "damaged". The damage is as SEGS said- tooling. The tooling is near the rim and stars to the left of the date. There is minor porosity in that area and it has been suggested that someone may have been trying to lessen the effect. It has been lightly cleaned, but the image did not pick this up well. This coin is an extreme rarity - only 6,146 minted! First year type! Quite eye appealing. Exact coin imaged. This coin ships for free.
